Kuang teaching Short Film Screenwriting Class with The Writing Salon

I'm thrilled to announce my first official screenwriting class with the Writing Salon!

Over the past few years, I've had the privilege of taking memoir writing courses at this wonderful Bay Area institution. These classes have kickstarted my nonfiction writing journey and led to publishing a few of my short pieces. I've loved the talented teachers and supportive community.

Now I feel honored to be teaching "Writing the Short Film" this May in San Francisco. The 3-session course will guide students through crafting a short film script.

From the description of the class: “Have you dreamt of writing an acclaimed short film? One that dazzles at festivals or serves as your feature film calling card?” asks instructor Kuang Lee. “This class will guide you through the essentials of writing a short film, offering an exciting introduction to the world of screenwriting.” 

I’ve directed two feature films that have been distributed on both Hulu and Amazon, as well as a number of short films that have won awards at worldwide film festivals. So hopefully students can learn a little about writing for film here.
